Brig in the centre of the Alps with its places of interests, like the Stockalperschloss, has brought together many cultures.

During the Great Wars a unique fortress was blasted into the rocks above Naters.
As no other commune provided more guardsman than Naters, they decided to establish the Museum of the Swiss Guards in the large ammunition rooms.
